'Round table on Collaboration of CSR Funds with Development/ Promotional Initiatives of NABARD'
FSDD, NABARD HO organized a CSR Round Table on 22nd February 2018 at Head Office Mumbai. The round table was chaired by Dr. H. K Bhanwala, Chairman, NABARD. The objective of the round table was to review the existing CSR partnership with the corporates and also explore the possibilities of convergence of CSR funds from new corporates in NABARD supported developmental and promotional programmes. During the discussions, it was emphasized that, while NABARD can fund core project interventions, convergence of CSR funds would be for project ‘plus’ interventions to improve production and productivity of agriculture, enhancement of farmers’ income and improving social aspects of their lives like health, sanitation, education, etc. CSRs evinced keen interest in joining/upscaling the partnership with NABARD.

7th Meeting of the National Advisory Committee (NAC) on "PRODUCE Fund"
7th Meeting of the National Advisory Committee on "PRODUCE Fund" was organized by FSDD at Head Office on 21st March 2018, under the chairmanship of Dr. Harsh Kumar Bhanwala, Chairman, NABARD, to review progress in promotion of FPOs formed under PRODUCE Fund, initiatives taken in this regard, operational issues and the interventions needed for holistic development of Farmer Producers’ Organizations (FPOs). Important issues like strategies for long-term sustainability of FPOs, Preparation of a model scheme for promotion of FPOs, digitization and monitoring of FPO activities through digital platform, etc, were discussed during the meeting and way forward suggested for further actions.
